Hello my name is Shelly Burgess.  I have been teaching for DMPS since 2010. Most of my teaching experience has been in Early Childhood. I began teaching preschool at Jefferson in 2024. Teaching littles is my passion and I am excited every year to see them grow.

I received my BA in education with an endorsement in early childhood from Grandview University.

My husband and I have four boys and a granddaughter. We are a busy active family that loves sports and being outdoors. We have three dogs all labs that keep us on our toes.
